I used this course in combination with some counselling that I was having. I think it really complimented my counselling sessions and helped me figure out a lot of things about why I was feeling this way. It helped to pull me out of the rut I was in. Of course nothing can magically fix every one of your problems but this did help a lot and for the money was well worth it. I think the PDF help-sheets were one of the best features overall.

that assisted us in making changes in our lives.
From the outside people might say I’ve had a blessed life; I’ve travelled, have good friends, a high-achieving family, a good career, but no-one could see the chaos that was, the inside of my head. I’ve suffered depression since my late teens and most of my adult life my head has been a cesspit of negative thoughts, continually creating anxious scenarios and a dread for the future.
I tried the traditional routes for managing the crappy software in my head, but I wasn’t finding any peace, so a few years ago I decided to learn more about the mind, and how humans work.
There was a great concept I came across …
• Watch your thoughts; they become words
• Watch your words; they become actions
• Watch your actions; they become habits
• Watch your habits; they become character
• Watch your character; it becomes your destiny
I thought I’d found this great wisdom that made complete intellectual sense, but my dark moods continued. Then I realized, what was left out of this equation was “feelings”… because we know, when we feel depressed, our thoughts come out of a dark and dreary place.
Then I found this…
“Action, habit, and character: Feeling issues in action, actions become habit, and habits crystallize into character. The formation of a good character, therefore, is largely dependent upon the right unfolding of feeling.”
But if I’m feeling depressed and can hardly get out of bed, then listening to my feelings wasn’t right either.
Then I toured Australia with Dr Joe Dispenza, the neuroscientist from “What the Bleep Do We Know” who says, “when feelings are the means of thinking and we can’t think greater than how we feel then we can never change.”
He says, “To change is to think greater than how we feel”.
So after all that, what have I found out. Well, in my version if we want to change, then we not only have to change the way we think, but also change the way we feel. To not be depressed, means we have to become the not-depressed type person, to put an end to thinking and feeling the way a depressed person thinks and feels and become a person who thinks and feels their way to a fulfilling life. Easier said then done, sure! I suppose that’s why we get a lifetime to unfold to our greatest potential.
The purpose of Depression Help Fast is to inspire and encourage new ways of thinking and feeling. To influence and shift your perspective; and present the possibility of living a life of your choice, a life of your own making.
It’s our hope, that by getting you focused again on what’s important to you, you’ll be able to move yourself past your old self, your past, your old story, or whatever else has stopped you from having what you know in your heart you deserve. Depression is a major warning signal that the coping mechanisms you’ve set up have kicked you out of alignment with your true self and values and you might be living as a completely opposite version of who you want to be.
What if I asked you, are you are living in a very uncomfortable, comfort zone?
If you didn’t feel so crap you’d be doing more and feeling happy right? Well actually it’s the other way around, if you start doing more things, which makes you feel more happy within yourself, then eventually you feel less crap, and less crap and less crap… until one day …
My aim to inspire you to push past where you’re at, to take action to go and get what you know and truly feel you deserve or desire in life. Ideally, to reconnect your heart to the people, the passion and the adventure of life.
To get the best out of life, everyone needs the support and guidance of a like-minded community. That’s why Matt and I wanted to create this website to put together a host of information and research that helped both of us learn how to manage and overcome our own experience with depression.
I still use a lot of these techniques today for myself and for my coaching clients.

Most people would describe me as a happy go lucky guy, talented with the world at my feet. And on the outside that’s what I’ve always looked like to others, but at 21 years old, I was struck down by depression.
When standard medical assistance didn’t provide the solutions I needed, I was determined to overcome it and undertook my own research. I uncovered a variety of techniques and support systems that over time helped me to create and adapt a more effective, psychological flexibility for myself.
It was my goal in creating the Depression Help Fast video series to provide a starting point to assist you to plot your way out of depression towards a more fulfilling and vital life. Many have achieved this result and you can too. The information contained in this course is a very brief summary of 15 years of my own personal study.
I spent a lot of time and energy in educating myself and learning techniques to help me work through depression. I can still have bad days now (yes even 15 years later) but I have the techniques and tools to deal with those emotions and thoughts and move through rough times so much more quickly.
This website and information is for you if deep down you can see the possibility of overcoming depression by learning to better manage how you think and act and as a result change your life for the better.
This information we’ve put together will assist you by exposing the behaviours that may cause you to fall into the depression trap. Once you become aware of these triggers, you’ll be in a position to change your actions and change your life.
Learning any new skill is like building up a muscle, you need to exercise this ability and make it stronger.
